SKLZ South Africa, a brand committed to sports skills development in South Africa, has announced Janine van Wyk, captain of the South African women’s football team, as their latest ambassador. This follows their September 2019 announcement of a partnership with the JVW Girls’ Football Club, founder Janine van Wyk.
A powerhouse of products used by the world’s leading teams and athletes, SKLZ has been supplying football-specific training equipment to the club, with each item designed to improve agility, strength and speed.

Janine, a powerhouse of talent, leadership and tenacious work in the sports development arena, holds the record as the most capped South African football player of any gender. She has also represented South Africa at two Olympic Games and mst recently Captained Banyana Banyana at their debut Women’s World Cup in France in 2019.
“I am extremely excited to be an ambassador of a brand that encourages individual growth in every athlete. The exciting part about this product is that it benefits all athletes to train smarter and perform better. I am honoured to have a brand like SKLZ that supports me to become a better player every day.” – Janine van Wyk
With a global pandemic pressing a tragic, but temporary pause button on competitive sport, there are many dreams on hold, and in South Africa, where a total lockdown has been implemented for a minimum of 21 days, training regimes have had to be reinvented. SKLZ specializes in gear that is easily transportable, and hones specific skills within confined spaces. SKLZ South Africa is proud to remain a committed partner of Janine van Wyk and the JVW Girls’ Football Club throughout this period of uncertainty.
